IMPACT KYIV

WAR AND CONFLICT PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM

Exhibitions: October 15 - November 7, 2026

Events: October 15-18, 2026

Forum examines how the global conflicts and technological shifts are transforming visual storytelling. Through an international exhibition, discussions, workshops and curated screenings, the forum will explore how the shifting media landscape impact how ongoing wars and conflicts are covered and reported on, as well as topics of shifts in archive preservation, emerging technologies and ethical approaches to documenting conflict.

Our first book

Essays on the History of Ukrainian Photography is a research and publishing project dedicated to the history of photography in Ukraine. It examines different periods, regions, and movements in Ukrainian photography of the 19th and 20th centuries, addressing histories and cultural heritage at risk of being lost during the war.

The project begins with a series of research essays and will lead to publications that make this research accessible to a wider audience.

Developed in partnership with Odesa Photo Days with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine.

What is the Ukrainian House of Photography?

The Ukrainian House of Photography is an organization tasked with creating a multidisciplinary institution dedicated to promoting, supporting, and preserving Ukrainian photography. It will create a space for its development, research, education, and public engagement, while building a lasting foundation for Ukraine’s photographic heritage and its future.

Public Program for Professionals

Help us find the perfect house in Kyiv

The Ukrainian House of Photography is looking for a home — and we need your help.

Right now

We are looking for a 300–500 m² temporary space to rent, where we can start hosting our exhibitions, educational events and talks, and start building our photography archive.

FOR THE FUTURE

We are searching for a truly special 2,000–5,000 m² building that could become the permanent home of Ukrainian photography in Kyiv — hopefully for generations to come.

contact us

We are looking for real estate partners and collaborations. If you are a developer or property owner and you share our vision that Ukraine deserves a photography institution, please get in touch with us at info@uhop.org.ua
